The Psychopath Test

Jon Ronson's new book The Psychopath Test. This summer I've read a number of brilliant books; Tess Of The D'urbervilles, Revolutionary Road and The Psychopath Test (Currently reading 50 Shades Of Grey, but I'll talk more about that later).

Reading The Psychopath Test came about when I was recently working at Reading Festival (not to be mistaken for a festival of reading, it's a music festival). I ran out of books, as I often do when I'm away due to my underestimation of how many books Ii will get through. So I was really relying on my sister, who normally packs her bag full of books (mainly History related ones, which I'd thought I would have to resort to haha). She handed me The Psychopath Test is so brilliantly written, in a way that I'm unused to due to the books I normally read. It's almost an account of the author's -Jon Ronson- findings when he was contacted regarding a mysterious book, which ended up in him researching into psychopaths and psychiatric prisons such as Boardmoor   hospital.
When people say 'I couldn't put it down!!!!' it normally irritates me, not quite sure why, probably because in my head I feel they're lying. In this case, I'm going to have to go against what I just said and say I literally couldn't put it down, I was reading it almost too much, but it's such an addictive book and was so different from anything I'd read before.
(That's me recommending the book)

Now I'm reading the highly popular 50 Shades Of Grey. I really don't know what to make of it. A fair few of my friends have read it and said it was 'really good!' and 'sooo worth reading!' (worrying about their history with literature, as they probably have a lack of it for them to think it's a 'brilliant, really well written' book...).
So I thought I'd give it a go today, and I can conclude that so far it has been completely awful. It's been compared to Twilight, which I completely agree with; both are written so badly and the main character's (Anastasia Steele and Bella Swan) are both SO unlikeable. 50 Shades Of Grey is what those who liked Twilight wanted it to be like, more detail into the sex etc.
So yeah, on page 68 and it's got to be the dullest book I have read so far :-)

Jones and Jones

So college starts on Monday (3rd), and in a couple of weeks my friend's having a party. Bought this gorgeous Jones and Jones dress for it on ebay.

The back is so low but because the front isn't, it makes it look more glamorous and I can't wait to wear it! I'll take some photo's on the night and post them on here.
