The creepy name of this post is a quote from Saw.
Back to college tomorrow, but as it's the last day some of my friends and I decided to have a trip to Thorpe Park!
Because most colleges/schools/work places are back now, the park was so empty and we walked on to so many rides without queuing- awesome day.
Below's a photo of Jess and Elliot fighting haha

Haven't posted in a while, my time off college before I start A2 has been pretty hectic (In a good way). Also suddenly re-discovered Heroes. If you haven't seen it, do.
So I went to town today to get some last minute festival things, and some last minute Duke of Edinburgh (DoE silver award). The funny thing is, after coming back from the Isle of Wight festival, I have one day before I have to leave for the DoE expedition haha.
Just about to go for a job interview (ahh).

Call Me Maybe

Bit dated, but there's been lot's of talk about Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe. I mean It's an alright song, but very catchy so that's probably why it got so popular.
Ben Howard does this awesome cover of it on Radio One's Live Lounge, and it makes me like the song so much more. Is it normal for a cover to be so much better than the original? Have a listen...

As my sister Rebecca is in her second year at university and I still hadn't gone up to stay with her, we decided that this was the best time to do so (yay).
We went shopping in Birmingham, where I got these items above as well as a leotard and skirt from American Apparel. I have never been to Birmingham before then, and I absolutely loved it, it reminded me of London so much and the buildings were all so interesting.
The day after, we went for a meal and to the cinema to see Prometheus. In my opinion, the best genre of film is sci-fi horror, like Alien and Prometheus. The sci-fi adds some fantasy, and the horror part- well, makes it more gory and tense. I'd been wanting to see it for a while since I saw the trailer (below) and it really lived up to my expectations! The characters weren't two dimensional and there were back stories. Although a lot of the characters were unlikable (bar Michael Fassbender's David), it made it seem more real to me because in life not everyone is likable anyway. Also, some of the plot of unexplained, but giving it some thought it means a sequel is needed! And, in more realistic terms we wouldn't know the answers to everything that happened anyway, which I like because it makes it not only more mysterious, but also makes the film 1000x better because the plot isn't written on the walls.
The ending wasn't disappointing either but I don't want to give away the plot.

(If you didn't get the hint- that was me saying go see the film!)

Mrs Robinson's Disgrace

Possibly the best looking book you've ever seen?

Mrs Robinson's Disgrace: The Private Diary of a Victorian Lady, by Kate Summerscale

My loveeely sister Rebecca is down from University for a few days. We all went to collect her and then to Stratford Upon Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace) to do a bit of shopping, where naturally we had to go into Waterstones.
My reading choices are primarily based upon my sisters to be truthful; she has a very good eye for finding a good book, and always recommends the ones she thinks I will like, which I always do.
So she bought this book, The Suspicions of Mr Whicher about a year ago, and having just peaked the 'I love Sherlock Holmes and everything else detective' phase, I managed to convince her to let me read it first (how? I don't know). It's by Kate Summerscale, and I enjoyed it so much because it was written from a case (commonly known as the murder at road hill house), but in a fictional style. Sadly, the TV programme was on at the same time and, as much as I wanted to watch it, I needed to finish the book first!
The picture above is her second book that I know of, and I am about 1/4 of the way through already having just started it.

I wanted to post a photo of some of my favorite books, about 4/6 having been suggested by Rebecca. From bottom up; The Picture of Dorian Gray, Nineteen Eighty Four, Alice in Wonderland, Anne Frank's Diary, The Hound of the Baskerville's and Rebecca (all time favorite book, ever). Ones that seem to not be in this pile that I love just as much are Dracula and Animal Farm.

Looks will be posted more frequently soon, I promise!

Purchases

Floral trousers Zara, £29.99 / Gladiators Urban Outfitters, £28 / Printed trousers Zara, £29.99

And finally, the book I've recently started reading. As an avid fan of books (its hereditary), I'm surprised I've never read this one before. However, my sister suggested it a while back and, having just finished Jane Eyre, I have finally got the chance to read Never Let Me Go.
The film was particularly tear-jerking, and the book so far has been even more so!
Majorly recommending it.

Today was shopshopshopshopshopping in Southampton. So fortunate to have such a good range of shops; Zara, Urban Outfitters, Topshop, H&M... Anyway, got some good pieces, which I will post soon!
